Museum Openings
The Railway Village Museum is open for bookable Tours throughout the warmer months of April through to September, mainly on Wednesdays.
In addition to our weekly opening, we host a variety of seasonal and themed events throughout the year for the whole family to enjoy.

A visitor leaflet produced for The Railway Village Museum by J. Arkell & Sons Ltd. The Ark logo shown was mostly used in the 1970s and 1980s. In October 1989, Arkell’s was renamed Arkell’s Brewery Ltd.

Getting Here
The Railway Village Museum is at 34 Faringdon Road (SN1 5BJ) in Swindon’s Railway Village. You can view the location on Google Maps here.
It is easily accessible by train and bus, with the Central Bus Station just a short walk away. There are several car parks available around the Railway Village, but we recommend Bristol Street Car Park for it’s proximity to the Museum.
