Membership

We have been a Membership organisation since we were established in 1995, and rely heavily on our Member contributions to carry out all of the important work that we do.

 
Becoming a Member of Swindon Heritage Preservation gives you exclusive access to heritage and community events, all while supporting our conservation projects.
 
We offer two types of individual Membership options:

Become a Full Member

As a Full Member, you can enjoy:
  • Member only discounts and events,
  • Free Entry to events / talks / tours,
  • Discount on Merchandise (not yet available online), 
  • Receive email updates on News, Recognition, Upcoming Events and Projects,
  • A vote on resolutions at our AGM,
  • Subscription to our Mechanics Matters e-magazine,

Become a Supporter Member

As a Supporter Member, you can enjoy:
  • Receive email updates on News, Recognition, Upcoming Events and Projects,
  • A vote on resolutions at our AGM,
  • Subscription to our Mechanics Matters e-magazine,

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are wanting to stop your Membership automatically renewing, then at any time, you can cancel your Membership through the Membership Portal while keeping your Member perks until the expiry date. You can get to the Membership Portal here.

Don’t forget, we will email you 7 days prior to a renewal payment being paid automatically to remind you.

If you are wanting to pay more than £1 or £12 per year, then you can make an additional payment through a donation by clicking here or the donation button on our website, at any time, with or without Membership.

If you are wanting to use the same email address for multiple Memberships, you will be able to do so however you will need to use different payment methods. 

If you use the same email address for multiple Memberships, you may encounter some issues when trying to use the Membership Portal. 

After you use the same email address, we will email you to explain what to do if you ever encounter any issues.

If you would like to change your Membership’s payment method, please use the Membership Portal. You can follow the steps on the screen to be able to change your payment method.

If you are encountering a problem with the Membership Portal, please email us at: membership@mechanics-trust.org.uk. We will be able to send you a direct link so you can change your payment details.

If you would like to change your Membership’s email address, please email us at: membership@mechanics-trust.org.uk

Please include the following information in your email to us: your previous email address, your new email address and your full name.

We will then be able to process your request and will reply back to you once everything has been changed.

We will be able to help answer any questions, cancel your Membership on your behalf or send you a direct link so you can change your payment details.
