A Health Hydro Vision Document
The Friends of the Health Hydro in Swindon have produced a vision document. In it they outline what they believe and hope that the Health Hydro in Milton Rd, should deliver. You’ll find a link to it at the bottom of this post.
They feel that this remarkable building should become a social hub in the centre of Swindon, providing health, leisure and community facilities whilst also preserving Swindon’s heritage and history. It’s a vision driven, in the main, by feedback from the people of Swindon.

Meanwhile over on Born Again Swindonian in this post about the health hydro Swindon, she shares this lovely quote from the Victorian Society about the building: ‘What an amazing thing the Swindon Health Hydro is. And it’s a hidden gem: passing it on Faringdon Road you get no sense that the building is open, and it looks more like a railway works than a swimming baths.’ And they’re right. It IS amazing.’
