Welcome to Our New Membership System!

We are proud to announce the launch of our new Membership System!

This upgrade is designed to significantly enhance the Membership System experience. By making it easier to sign-up to become a Member and give you more control over your Membership, while additionally streamlining our own internal Membership processes.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new system:

Why we made the change

Following feedback about the old Membership System, we thought it was necessary to make an upgrade to improve the system in many areas, including:

      • Improving Member Experience – A more intuitive, streamlined and user-friendly interface.

      • Managing your Membership – Through a new Membership Portal you can now change your payment method, billing information, see your invoice history or cancel your Membership, at any time.

      • Automatic Payments – The new system will make automatic payments when it is time to renew your Membership. Don’t worry, we will send you an email 7 days prior to remind you of renewal. It will allow you to change your payment details or cancel your Membership if you wish.

      • Streamlining our internal processes – This new system makes the processing of Memberships much more efficient for us.

    What do you need to do now

    Nothing. Your current Membership will still be valid until one year after your last payment. When it expires we will email you to remind you to make the switch to the new system. If you wish to renew your Membership early, you can transition to the new system at any time!

    Anyone wishing to become a Member for the first time, can straight away use the new system.

    How to get started

    Transitioning to the new system is straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started:

        1. Go to our new membership page.
        2. Choose between becoming a Full Member (£12 per year) or a Supporter Member (£1 per year). When you have decided, press ‘Subscribe’.
        3. Enter your payment details and press the ‘Subscribe’ button to make the payment when you are ready.
        4. To complete your membership, enter your contact details, then press the button at the bottom of the page once you have entered everything.
        5. That’s it! You have become a Swindon Heritage Preservation Member. Check your inbox for a payment confirmation and a welcome email from us.

      Common Questions

      Will we still accept cash payments for Membership?

      Yes. You will have to complete a paper form with your payment.

      Yes. At any time, you can cancel your Membership through the Membership Portal while keeping your Member perks until the expiry date. You can get to the Membership Portal here.

      Don’t forget, we will email you 7 days prior to a renewal payment being paid automatically to remind you.

      Yes. You can make an additional payment through a donation by clicking here or the donation button on our website, at any time, with or without Membership.
