Central Community Centre

The Central Community Centre is operated by the Trust following the transfer of this important community asset from Swindon Borough Council in February 2014.

The Trust welcomes bookings from local residents, groups and organisations.

We currently have the following spaces available for hire:

Main Hall – the space can be set up in a variety of ways including boardroom, theatre style, cabaret. The hall can accommodate approximately 80 people, 60 seated. The hall can also be used in conjunction with the kitchen for refreshments and catering.

Small Meeting Room – the room can be set up in a variety of ways for board meetings and other meetings. The meeting room can accommodate approximately 8-10 people.

We offer affordable and competitive hourly rates, with discounts for non-profits and regular ongoing bookings. The hall is £19 per hour for individuals and £13 per hour for local charities. We offer other meeting spaces in the Railway village that are smaller and cheaper. Complete an online booking enquiry to receive a quote by email.

What else do we offer?

We offer flip chart stands, projectors, screens and a PA system as part of bookings (subject to availability).

We have parking for up to 14 vehicles.

Complimentary free wi-fi is available within the building.

We can also provide refreshments and light buffet services at an additional cost.

Take a look at the calendar below for an indication of availability. Please note that the calendar may take up to 12 hours to update after we have taken a booking.

Central Community Centre available 8am – 10pm

Baker’s Community Rooms available 08.30am – 08.30pm

If you hover over each entry you will see the name of the space and the booked time. If there isn’t a booking there’s a good chance the space is available. Though we do require at least 30-60 minutes for changeovers between bookings.

Weekends are quieter across our spaces, there is often availability on weekends.
