The Bakers Community Cafe is free and open to all Swindon residents on Wednesday mornings. You can get involved in activities and games, or simply drop by for coffee, cake and a catch up. You can also meet various teams from Swindon Borough Council, such as housing, planning and regeneration.
We can’t wait to see you for our Railway Village Community Coffee Mornings!
PLEASE NOTE: We are open on the FIRST, THIRD AND LAST Wednesday of the Month.
We will be closed on the second Wednesday of each month.
On the last Wednesday of every month, we are joined by Swindon Borough Council’s Housing team. Please come along and say hi; bring any questions to the team. No appointment necessary.
Donations
We rely heavily on donations to be able to deliver free events. If you can donate, we would really appreciate it. You can do so here. Thank you!
A portable wheelchair ramp is available for access to the Bakers.
By public transport:
Swindon Railway Village is easily reachable by train or bus, and we are only a short walking distance from the Central Bus Station.
By car:
There are a number of Car Parks conveniently located around the Railway Village, but we recommend using Bristol Street Car Park.
Other things to do:
Why not stick around for our Heritage Hub? Every Wednesday from 1pm at the Bakers for Tours, Talks and other activities.
While visiting the Swindon Railway Village Community Coffee Mornings, why not check out the Works heritage Trail while you are here? The Works Heritage Trail guides you around Swindon’s beautifully preserved Railway Village, through the Tunnel and around the former GWR Works – the original industrial heart of Swindon.
